At the begining of May, Israel’s National Committee for Open Spaces, approved a new 40MW solar field for the Eilot region (led by Dorel company, Yotvata, Samar and Lotan).
This project is the first of its kind in Israel to include an area for batteries storage. This will divert part of the production to the evening hours, thus possibly overcoming the problem of transmission network overload in the Arava and Eilat.
