Yesterday we were excited to expose our new academic program in the field of infrastructure for the developing world. The event took place in the very respectable house of The Counselor for Press & Cultural Affairs of the Embassy of the United States of America, Mr. Thomas Genton & Mrs. Sarah Genton, hosting deans, professors and heads of departments from the Technion, Tel Aviv University and the Porter School for Environmental Studies, Ben Gurion University, Netanya Academic College, Ruppin College and of course our friend from Afeka College, for whom we conducted the first pilot of the program, and were a great help during the construction process.
The event included an important and fascinating interdisciplinary dialogue on economic options, technological development and needs in developing countries.
We hope that the contacts created this evening will help create additional courses, that will open a window to this field for students who, after graduating, will choose to engage in the new and emerging sector of finding technological solutions for the developing world.
