The laboratories of Sun Effect have recently developed a robot that can clean solar panels by remote control, improving the efficency of photovoltaic panels.
After installation, the robots are operated and control via a battery operated application which eliminates the need for humans to climb on the panels and risk their lives. The system is designed to operate an an optimal level of efficiency, helping to maintain the cleanliness of the panels at all times. Additionaly, the robot can control, add or remove washes when neccessary.
The system comprises of several robots, each robot assigned to one row of panels (the number of robots depends on the number of rows of solar panels). The robot splashes water uniformly across the panels in a method that is highly cost effective, so that only water that is needed will be used. After dispensing the water, the robot brushes over the panel.
Sun Effect claims that the life of the robots is up to twenty years.
The robots are yet another example of how the company continues to create and deliver products that improve the efficiency of green energy.
